The game
The Temple is a short 2D side-scrolling horror game that serves as my first project and introduction to game development with Godot. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s story of the same name, this game captures the essence of cosmic horror with a focus on creating an oppressive atmosphere and a brief, unsettling narrative.
You play as Karl Heinrich, a German officer whose life spirals into chaos after his crew steals a strange green-eyed statuette from a british ship.
